oh well...today i've been a good mugger. haha..started to read the txtbk and came across interesting stuffs:
1. The critical period hypothesis proposes that the language acquistion device ceases to function and the ability to acquire language with native fluency declines as childhood progresses, and disappears after the age of puberty.
2. In a study done, monolingual native-born children has a higher IQ score as compared to bilingual children. HOWEVER, bilingual children are better at solving certain problems and have more mental flexibility.
3. For all babies, cooing (vowel sounds) comes before babbling(alternation of consonants and vowels).

5.Bees are clever to a certain extend that they can use bee dance to convey where is the source of food, the distance and quality of food. BUT, they just cant convey e correct msg to their pals when the food is just below their hive.
